Research Topic: Kuala ‘Loco’
Background: In Spanish, the meaning of ‘Loco’ is crazy, insane and
mad. Kuala Lumpur is a place where mostly everybody talked about the
successful, peace, a lot of beautiful place and spot that can be visited,
harmony and no doubt about the environment in Kuala Lumpur. But mostly didn’t
know about the true colour of Kuala Lumpur. They just heard the positive side
of Kuala Lumpur.
Problem Identification: Kuala Lumpur is a great place to live in but
at the same time most people did not know what they heard and see is just about
the outside and not the inside of Kuala Lumpur.
Aim and Objectives: To give an exposure to audience through
visualization that Kuala Lumpur are full of drama, colourful and incredible
lifestyle everyday, everytime.
Motivation: For those people who lives in Kuala Lumpur may know
about all the inside and outside of Kuala Lumpur but some of them just don’t
bother about it. From this project, not only the people who live in Kuala
Lumpur can view it but the citizens from other cities and states will also be
able to have a view on the lifestyle of Kuala Lumpur.
Ideation and Concept: Kuala ‘Loco’ is a projection mapping project
consisting of an organize LED setup for decoration purpose to make sure that
the light will synchronize with music of the visualization at behind of the
main screen. The main screen of the mapping will be a transparent glass or box
and then shaped it into KUALA LUMPUR wordings. The visualization will be project
and appear by using a projector and then point it directly to the wording of
KUALA LUMPUR.
In order to start the
visualization mapping, an audience must stand into a trigger spot that will be
provided to detect and trigger to switch on the visual. Webcam and camera
trigger will be applied into this project.
Target Audience: Young adults and teenagers

Proposal 2
Research Topic: Crime
Detector
Background: They are urban areas
that are heavily populated with substandard housing and very poor living
conditions. Crimes may also result in cautions, rehabilitation or be
unenforced.
Problem Identification: Nowadays a lot of crime happens not only in
day but also happens at night. If want to conclude it, crime can happen at
anyway, anytime. As a human being, sometimes we didn’t realise when the dangers
is going to show up.
Aim and Objectives: To decrease the level of crimes in this
country. Other than that, we can automatically vanish all the crime scene that
might happens to anyone. Besides that, we can discourage a person to committing
a crime.
Motivation: The purpose of this project is to discourage a
person from committing a crime. This project also can make criminal behaviour
less attractive and more risky. With this project we can make the criminal
afraid to do a crime scene. Another way of influencing choice is to make crime
more difficult or to reduce the opportunities.
Ideation and Concept: This project is an installation art scope. A
projector is needed to project a symbol of something that can make the criminal
afraid like a 3D model of one big giant eye. The eye will follow wherever the
criminal move from left to right or up and down. There will be two camera
attached in this project. One camera will act as a recorder to record an
audience as a criminal and another one is to trigger the audience to track the
movement of the audience from left to right or up and down.
Target Audience: Teenagers and adult

Research Topic: Anti-Social (Speak Up)
Background: Nowadays most of us have a smartphones. It is not a
crime to have one but we don’t realise that somehow smartphones can make
someone become an anti-social and live in their own world and not interested to
have a real social life.
Problem Identification: Anti-social is something that we all have
to control it before it is too late. There is a lot of negative outcome when
people nowadays only live their world in smartphone.
Aim and Objectives: To give an exposure to audience that how much
important it is to have a real social life in this urbanisation time during our
lifetime.
Motivation: For those people who think that they rather to have
their smartphone to communicate with someone, they must realise that somehow
that method won’t work to generate a healthy lifestyle.
Ideation and Concept: A video screening of the differences and also
the advantages neither disadvantages will be shown to the audience. Basically
this video will make the audience feel and realise that how much important it
is to have a real social life.
Target Audience: Young adults and teenagers
